Day One:
Today (Wednesday) was a slow day to allow for the team to adjust and get some rest. We had breakfast, orientation and them some shopping at Nakumatt (for water, snacks and tummy medication) and them a team lunch at Java House. As always, Benson, Jared and Ezekial have been a great help. This afternoon, a few folks went on a short van tour of Nairobi and others of us have been at the hotel and working electronics, planning and sermon preparation. Marcus will be preaching at the youth rally and at Benson’s church.
Overall, no problems. Some of the team has attempted to call home with limited success. We have been using email instead. The attitude is light and spirits are high. Tomorrow the team will split. HIV team will be with HAMI and the others with GARA. I request you be in prayer during our time in the slums.
I will be anxious to visit with them after their visits. Thank you all for your prayers and support.
Praise the Lord that you all arrived safely. I will be and have been praying you you guys. May your work in Kenya be for His greater plan.
